Century Rehabilitation Therapy Technician

Job Title: Therapy Technician – PRN

Department: Therapy

Reports To: Rehab Director and Regional Rehab Manager

Summary: Assist the Rehab Director with faxing, filing, and day-to-day operations of rehab department. Also, assist PT, OT and SLP with transporting patients and patient care as instructed by treating therapist.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Included the following. Other duties may be assigned. Transporting patients for therapist Filing documentation Faxing paperwork Assisting with patient care ? Assisting rehab director or treating therapist

Supervisory Responsibilities: Unless the Rehab Technician has been hired for the Rehab Director role, there are no supervisory duties. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Century Rehabilitation’s policies and applicable laws.

Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to execute each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Education & Qualification Requirements: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customer, client, and other employees of the organization.

Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using while numbers, common factions and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Computer Skills: Basic computer skills

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk of hear. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and taste and smell. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. This job requires the employee to assist patients during transfer and ambulating throughout the facility to bring patients to the rehab room and return them after therapy.
